Virtually No 2026 Job Growth in OC: Chapman Economists

Annual forecast presented today

Chapman University economists are forecasting “virtually no job growth” in Orange County next year, while the U.S. economy is expected to increase 2%.

The researchers, led by President Emeritus Jim Doti, presented their economic forecast for 2026 today.

Lack of housing affordability will hold back OC  home price growth to about 2%, the Chapman team said.
