Anduril Gets $86M Pentagon Contract

Aims for mission autonomy

Defense company Anduril Industries said it has received a three-year, $86 million contract from the U.S. military’s Special Operations Command to accelerate the development and deployment of mission autonomy software.

The software will be used in “multi-domain uncrewed systems” in support of the command’s missions.

Given the complexities of modern warfare, the software will be “capable of integrating and coordinating multiple vehicles’ control systems, sensors, weapons, and other payloads to synchronize effects on the battlefield,” Anduril said in a statement today.

Anduril was co-founded by OC entrepreneur  Palmer Luckey.
