Bringing over 25 years of experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, investment banking, and asset management, Kurt von Steinbergs has joined First Bank as Managing Director of Commercial Banking in Orange County and the Inland Empire.
When asked why he chose First Bank, he said, “I wanted to help lead First Bank’s efforts to build and grow the brand in Southern California as it embarks on its second 100 years of operation.” von Steinbergs graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He also has his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from University of California, Los Angeles Anderson Graduate School of Management. Additionally, he studied at Oxford University, New College in the Institute for British and Irish Studies.
Outside of work, von Steinbergs is on the Executive Board for the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, and the Inland SoCal United Way. He’s married with three children, enjoys travelling and snowboarding/skiing, and strives to stay active by playing ice hockey, tennis, and golf.
