Solis Capital Invests in eSkillz

Plans to scale online learning services

Solis Capital Partners, a Newport Beach-based investment firm, said it’s made a minority investment in eSkillz Corp., an online provider of customized training programs for employees. Terms of the investment weren’t disclosed.

eSkillz, which is aiming to scale its business, plans to invest in technology, including an AI-powered learning platform. eSkillz said it will broaden its service portfolio to encompass emerging areas such as microlearning and data analytics-driven insights.

ESkillz was founded 15 years ago by Don Cole of Laguna Beach, and Melissa Guerra of Austin, Tx.

“We are excited to partner with eSkillz and support their mission of revolutionizing the way organizations approach learning and development,” Solis Managing Partner Dan Lubeck said in a statement. “Their strong reputation, robust technology infrastructure, and talented team position them well for continued growth.”
