Autobytel Rebrands

Autobytel Inc. in Irvine changed its name to AutoWeb Inc. and its Nasdaq stock ticker symbol to “AUTO.”

The company, founded in 1995, provides consumer leads and marketing services to auto dealers and manufacturers. AutoWeb was an advertising technology firm Autobytel invested in 2013 and then acquired in 2015.

“We believe the rebranding and name change to AutoWeb Inc. better aligns with our operations and corporate strategy, particularly as we look to further expand our Internet leads and clicks businesses,” Chief Executive Jeff Coats said in a statement.

AutoWeb has a market value of about $89.3 million. It expects 2017 revenue to be in the range of $144 million to $148 million, compared to $150.4 million it posted in 2016.
