The yield on a 10-year treasury bond rose 1.02% to 1.68%.
The price of gold was down 0.31% to $1,732 per ounce.
Shares of Santa Ana-based title insurance company First American Financial Corp. rose about 3% to $20 for a recent market value of $2 billion.
Irvine-based Endologix Inc. fell 3% to $12 after the medical device maker’s shares rose Friday on news of European regulatory approval for its Nellix Endovascular Aneurysm sealing device. Endologix had a recent market value of $752 million.
