The Nasdaq was down 0.06% to 3,008, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was off 0.21% to 12,998.
The yield on a 10-year treasury bond was up 1.68% to 1.63%.
The price of gold rose 0.47% to $1,719 per ounce.
Shares of Aliso Viejo-based QLogic Corp. fell about 8% to $9 after Goldman Sachs downgraded the networking equipment maker’s stock from “neutral” to “sell.” QLogic has a market value of about $813 million.
Costa Mesa-based networking equipment maker Emulex Corp. was off about 5% to $7 after receiving the same downgrade from Goldman Sachs. Emulex had a recent market value of $623 million.
