The S&P 500 was down 0.2% to 3,751.77 in midday trading.
The Dow 30 decreased 0.5% to 30,322.31, while the Nasdaq increased 0.2% to 11,078.62.
Crude oil fell 1.5% to $104.55 a barrel.
Gold was off 0.2% to $1,834.40.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury dropped 3.9% to 3.033%.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) rose 9.5% to $52.81 with a $3.6 billion market cap. Shares have recovered from earlier in the week when they were hovering around $46 apiece, but are still off about 16% since the start of the year.
HEALTHCARE
Medical device maker Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI) continued this week’s gains, rising 5.5% to $66.76 apiece for a market cap of $3.5 billion. Shares are up 12% in the past week.
