Irvine-based Masimo Corp. (Nasdaq: MASI) was up 6% to $125.15 for a market cap of nearly $7 billion. The medical technology company reported first quarter revenue of $304.2 million, up 1.7% year-over-year and beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 3.6%. Needham upgraded the company to buy from hold on Wednesday.
Local technology stocks were mixed in Wednesday midday trading as companies report their first quarter earnings results, with Viant Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: DSP) leading losses. Shares were down 11% to $5.34 and a $326.4 million market cap. The Irvine-based tech company yesterday reported a quarterly loss of $13.6 million, missing analyst estimates by nearly 5%.
