Major indexes fell as investors worried about how inflation might affect Fed actions and rising tensions in Ukraine.
The S&P; fell 1.5% to 4,437.59 in midday trading.
The Dow 30 was down 1.1% at 34,845.26.
The Nasdaq fell 2.1% to 13,872.66.
Crude oil rose 2.3% to $91.97 a barrel.
Gold was flat at $1,842 an ounce.
The yield on a 10-year bond fell 3.1% at 1.968%.
TECHNOLOGY
MeridianLink Inc. (NYSE: MLNK), a Costa Mesa-based software provider for banks and credit unions, fell 3.4% to $19.20 per share and a $1.5 billion market cap. The company went public last July at $26 a share.
FINANCE
LoanDepot Inc. (NYSE: LDI) jumped 4.6% to $4.13 a share and a $559 million market cap. Shares of the Foothill Ranch-based mortgage lender are still off 90% from their 52-week high.
