The S&P; 500 slid 0.7% to 4,331.74 in midday trading.
The Dow 30 was down 0.6% at 33.562.29.
The Nasdaq dropped 1.25% to 13,354.79.
Crude oil jumped 4.2% to $112.23 a barrel.
Gold was up 1.5% at $1,964.90 an ounce.
The yield on a 10-year bond fell 5.5% to 1.7430.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Vizio Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: VZIO) dropped 17% to $10.98 per share and a $2.2 billion market cap. The media company and flat-screen TV and soundbar maker yesterday announced its fourth-quarter results that disappointed investors.
MARKETING
Advantage Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: ADV) of Irvine fell 12% to $5.75 per share and a $1.8 billion market cap. Shares are down 27% since March 1 when the company announced fourth-quarter results and said CEO Tanya Domier will retire and be replaced by President Jill Griffin.
