Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.1% in Monday midday trading to 4,431.79.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.2% to 35,122.41.


The Nasdaq rose 0.2% to 14,857.56.


Crude oil jumped 2.5% to $66.56 a barrel.


Gold dropped 2% to $1,727.90.


The yield on a 10-year Treasury jumped 2.5% to 1.322%.


TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based memory products maker Netlist Inc. (OTC: NLST) fell 19% to $5.72 apiece for a market cap of $1.2 billion. Shares in the company are currently trading at more than six times their average volume, and are down about 35% in the past week.


MEDICAL DEVICES
Tustin-based Avid Bioservices Inc. (Nasdaq: CDMO) jumped 7.8% to $28 and a $1.7 billion market cap. Simply Wall St. said in a recent report that “Avid Bioservices' balance sheet looks quite solid, as its total liabilities are just about equal to its liquid assets.” Shares in Avid, a contract manufacturer of biologics, have nearly quadrupled in the past year.
