The S&P 500 fell 0.5% to 3,777.72 in midday trading Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.3% to 30,895.24, while the Nasdaq declined 0.5% to 13,050.87.
Crude oil was down 2.5% to $52.24.
Gold was off 1.2% to $1,829.20.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 3.5% to 1.09%.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine chipmaker Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: SWKS) declined 3.7% to $152.10 for a market cap of $25 billion. The company, which was trading on volume lower than its daily average, is down 1.8% so far this year.
HEALTHCARE
Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI) rose 3.8% to $96.48 for a market cap of $4.9 billion. The Irvine-based medical device company this week reported preliminary fourth-quarter results, with revenue up from the year-ago period to between $47.9 million and $48.9 million. Procedures were also up during the quarter compared to the year-ago period.
