Enevate Licensing Fast-Charge Battery Tech

Enevate Corp., an Irvine-based company developing rechargeable lithium-ion technology for electric vehicle batteries, plans to license its flagship XFC Energy product.

XFC aims to slash EV recharging times: new batteries can achieve a 75 percent charge in five minutes, compared to one hour now current in conventional large-format, lithium ion cells, the company said, “providing a path to produce extreme fast-charge EV batteries at low cost and high-volume production.”

Enevate is working with multiple manufacturers to commercialize the product for 2024-2025 model year electric vehicles.
