Midday Stock Roundup

Major U.S. indexes rose in Monday midday trading amid strong jobs and services sector reports, with the Nasdaq surging 1.6% to 13,692.15.

The S&P 500 jumped 1.4% to 4,076.46, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.6% to 13,692.52.


Crude oil plummeted 6.2% to $57.66 a barrel.


Gold was flat at $1,729 an ounce.


The yield on a 10-year Treasury climbed 2.1% to 1.715%.
 

ENERGY
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE), OC’s largest public clean tech firm, dropped 7.5% to $13.45 for a $2.7 billion market cap. Shares of the Newport Beach-based company have still nearly doubled since the start of the year.


MORTGAGES
LoanDepot Inc. (NYSE: LDI) rose 5% to $21.07 and a $6.4 billion market cap. The Foothill Ranch-based provider of mortgages went public on Feb. 12 at $14 a share, reaching as high as $39.85 on its first day of trading. Shares are currently trading at about six times their average volume.
