Odin, a commercial spacecraft launched by the Seal Beach-based startup AstroForge to prepare for asteroid mining, “appears to be in trouble,” industry website Space.com said.
The website said the AstroForge team is scrambling to get in contact with the unmanned probe, which was launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Wednesday.
Odin is the first commercial spacecraft headed beyond the moon and into deep space.
The Business Journal has reached out to AstroForge for comment and is awaiting a response.
