Building a Better Tomorrow: Honoring OC’s Leaders in Sustainability
Corporate sustainability in Orange County reflects a growing commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and long-term economic growth. Local businesses are increasingly adopting green practices, from reducing carbon footprints to embracing renewable energy and waste reduction initiatives. These efforts not only contribute to a healthier environment but also strengthen the local economy, attracting consumers and investors who value sustainability. Sustainable corporations recognize that their actions can have profound consequences on the world and aim to minimize negative impacts while actively contributing to positive societal change and continuous corporate growth.
We are looking for organizations that have made sustainability a part of the corporate ethos. Tell us about your sustainability practices. These practices can include:
- Environmental: Reducing waste, conserving resources, and using renewable energy sources
- Social: Ethical labor and sourcing, and social justice and equity
- Economic: Sustainable supply chain management, and economic development
This special OCBJ section will recognize the efforts of an entire company to set a positive example to other companies and the public for what it means to be a socially conscience organization in 2024.
Nomination Deadline Extended to October 8, 2024
Honoree profiles will be drawn from the materials submitted to the Orange County Business Journal. Those selected for inclusion are reviewed by the editorial department and chosen based on the impact made in furthering the success of their organization.
Tips for completing the nomination form:
- Focus on the organization’s accomplishments.
- Include specific details (facts, figures, numbers, percentages) when describing the company’s accomplishments.
- The nomination must speak for itself; you will not be contacted for more information unless your nomination is chosen to be highlighted by the OCBJ editorial staff.
