Irvine-based land developer Five Point Holdings LLC (NYSE: FPH) dropped 5% to $3.78 per share for a market cap of $561 million, as recession fears and a housing price slowdown weighed on construction stocks.
HEALTHCARE
Eye lens developer Staar Surgical Co. (Nasdaq: STAA) in Lake Forest rose 4% to $75.08 per share for a market cap of $3.6 billion. Investor website Defenseworld.net said earlier today that Staar Surgical beats Bausch + Lomb on 7 of 11 factors compared between the two stocks, including valuation, earnings, profitability, dividends, analyst recommendations, risk and institutional ownership.
