Vans Creates New Executive Role for Brand Veteran

Marissa Pardini named global chief product and merchandising officer

Costa Mesa-based Vans Inc. has appointed Marissa Pardini as the new global chief product and merchandising officer. Pardini was previously the vice president and general manager at The North Face for the past two years.

The executive position is a newly created role at Vans as Pardini will oversee the company’s global apparel and footwear product and merchandising function.

Pardini returns to the action sports brand after initially starting in 2010 and helping Vans reach over $1 billion in direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales in her former merchandising leadership role.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to rejoin the Vans Family and lead the Global Product Strategy in partnership with the talented teams,” Pardini said in a statement. “People and culture have always made Vans stand apart.

Vans, owned by VF Corp. (NYSE: VFC), counts over 2,000 retail stores globally. The Costa Mesa brand most recently hosted the Vans US Open in Huntington Beach last month with close to 400,000 people estimated to be in attendance.
