Anduril Inks New HQ Deal at The Press

Palmer Luckey’s tech-focused defense and border protection company Anduril Industries Inc. has signed a deal to take over the entirety of The Press development at the former LA Times printing facility in Costa Mesa, reports indicate.

“I love Orange County," Luckey said in a statement to the Business Journal. "Anduril is leading the charge to turn this county into the defense technology hub of America.”

The lease is reported to be for 640,000 square feet, including 450,000 square feet that’s currently under construction as well as a newly planned 190,000-square-foot research and development building.

The deal, first reported by the LA Times, is the largest local office lease in recent years.

Anduril, which will move its headquarter base from Irvine, is the fastest-growing area defense company and ranks No. 15 on the Business Journal’s list of top aerospace and defense companies in OC by local employee count, with 220 local employees and 270 companywide.
