The University of California-Irvine received a $200 million gift from Henry and Susan Samueli, Chancellor Howard Gillman calling it one of the largest donations made to a public university.
The Samueli Foundation gave University of California-Irvine $30 million to help build a 100,000-square-foot facility for “convergent science”—cross-disciplinary research in engineering, computing and physical sciences.
The Samueli Foundation in Corona del mar gave $20 million to the University of California-Los Angeles’ Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, the foundation said.
