The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose less than 0.1% to 34,559.72.

The Nasdaq fell 0.1% to 13,732.32.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 2% to 1.6%.

The price of gold increased less than 0.1% to 1,905.60.

The price for a barrel of oil rose 2.1% to $67.73.

FINANCE

Foothill Ranch-based non-bank mortgage lender loanDepot Inc. (NYSE: LDI) was down 7.9% at $15.62 a piece for a market cap of $4.8 billion. Investor website TheMotleyFool.com said in its analysis of loanDepot that “headwinds from rising interest rates could pose a problem for the industry.”
 

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based clot removal device maker Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI) fell 7.3% to $80.63 apiece for a market cap of $4 billion. The company’s shares have lost about 7% in value since the start of the year.
