The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.2% to 34,816.23.
The Nasdaq was up 1.8% to 13,574.92.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond jumped 1.2% to 2.895%.
The price of gold fell 1.5% to $1,957.
The price for a barrel of oil tumbled 5.1% to $102.72.
HEALTHCARE
Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI), a clot removal device maker in Irvine, rose 6.2% to $92.36 apiece for a market cap of $4.9 billion. Despite today’s increase, the stock has dipped about 1% since the start of the year.
MEDIAÂ
Irvine based TV maker and media company Vizio Holding Corp. (NYSE: Vizio) jumped 7.4% to $8.58 apiece for a market cap of $1.6 billion. The shares regained much of the ground they lost when the price sank to a new yearly low of $7.56 apiece on Monday.
