Electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: RIVN) in Irvine rose 4.7% to $85.30 per share for a market cap of $75.3 billion, recouping some of the losses sustained the day before on news that the Chief Operating Officer Rod Copes left the company last month as production was ramping up. Rivian has reclaimed its place as the highest-valued publicly traded company based in Orange County.
Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS), the San Clemente provider of glaucoma treatments, rose 9.3% to $52.63 per share for a market cap of $2.5 billion. On Monday, Allied Market Research published a report saying the global glaucoma surgery devices industry generated $818.46 million in 2020, and is estimated to reach $6.51 billion by 2030.
