Orange County healthcare shares were trending up in Thursday midday trading, led by Staar Surgical Co (Nasdaq: STAA) in Lake Forest. The company rose 5.4% to an all-time high of $143.29 with a $6.7 billion market cap. The intraocular lens maker’s shares have more than tripled since a year ago.
Tustin-based contract manufacturer Avid Bioservices Inc. (Nasdaq: CDMO) rose 2.9% to $20.92 and a $1.3 billion market cap; and Irvine-based clot removal device maker Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI) increased 1.8% to $88.70 and a $4.4 billion market cap.
