The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.2% to 34,384.28 while the Nasdaq increased 0.6% to 13,740.56.

Crude oil fell 0.1% to $66 a barrel.

Gold was up 0.3% to $1,903.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 0.4% to 1.559%.

Foothill Ranch-based loanDepot Inc. (NYSE: LDI) climbed 5.1% to $15.81 and a $4.9 billion market cap. Volume was a fourth of its daily average. Shares of the mortgage originator have risen about 32% since May 14 when it declared an 8 cent per share dividend.


Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) rose 6% to $8.09 and a $1.6 billion market cap. Volume was a third of its daily average. The shares of the Newport Beach provider of renewable natural gas had declined by more than half since February when it reached its 52-week high. The shares are still up more than three-fold since November when Joe Biden won the presidency.
