The Dow Jones increased 0.7% to 34,443.70, while the Nasdaq was flat at 14,365.57.
Crude oil was up 0.9% to $73.97.
Gold was flat at $1,777.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury climbed 2.8% to 1.53%.
CalAmp Corp. (Nasdaq: CAMP) fell 11.5% to $12.68, a day after the company reported first-quarter results. CalAmp declined to provide a business forecast for the current quarter citing supply shortages and the continued impact of the pandemic. The Irvine vehicle tracking and management company had a recent market cap of $447.4 million.
ClearPoint Neuro Inc. (Nasdaq: CLPT) increased 7.9% to $21.55 for a market cap of $446.2 million. The Irvine medical device maker has risen 42% since the start of the year.
