The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 2.4% to 1.53%.
The price of gold decreased 0.2% to $1,895.
The price for a barrel of oil rose 0.5% to $69.59.
Shares in Medicare Advantage company Alignment Healthcare Inc. (Nasdaq: ALHC) rose 4.8% to $24.32 apiece for a market cap of $4.6 billion. The company said earlier in the day that CEO and founder John Kao would appear today at the inaugural Forbes Health in Action summit, discussing health care in a post-pandemic world.
BJ’s Restaurants (Nasdaq: BJRI) shares rose 6% to $55.30 apiece for a market cap of $1.3 billion. BJ’s said that management will be participating virtually at the Oppenheimer 21st Annual Consumer Growth and E-Commerce Conference next week and will also virtually meet with institutional investors.
