Data analytics software maker Alteryx Inc. in Irvine said its recently named revenue chief, Dean Darwin, had resigned over a social media post. Its contents were not specified.

His appointment as chief revenue officer was announced in early January. Darwin previously served as the senior vice president and general manager at Palo Alto Networks.

Alteryx said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Darwin had resigned today.


“The resignation follows the company becoming aware of a social media post from Mr. Darwin that was not consistent with the company’s values,” Alteryx told the SEC. “Mr. Darwin’s responsibilities as CRO have been assumed by other members of the company’s organization.”
