Enevate, an Irvine-based company developing silicon lithium-ion batteries technology for electric vehicles, said it had secured $81M in Series E funding led by Fidelity Management & Research Company.

Enevate licenses intellectual property and transfers technology to electric vehicle automotive companies and battery makers worldwide.

The new funding is aimed at accelerating global mass adoption of Enevate’s unique battery technology in electric vehicles. Enevate said existing investors, Mission Ventures and Infinite Potential Technologies, also participated in the round.


With this latest funding round, Enevate has raised $191 million to date, according to the company.
