The Nasdaq was up 0.8% to 13,716.03.
Crude oil rose 0.7% to $56.06.
Gold fell 2.4% to $1,790.30.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury was up 1.1% to 1.061%.
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) was up 6.9% to $51.20 and a $1.1 billion market cap. The company said on Tuesday it will report fourth-quarter and full-year 2020 earnings on Feb. 11.
The S&P 600 Restaurants Index rose 3.2% after Yum! Brands Inc. reported fourth-quarter revenue and earnings that topped analysts' consensus estimates.
Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI) of Irvine rose 5.3% to $109.51 and a $5.6 billion market cap. Shares of the blood clot removal device maker have climbed 30% since Jan. 4.
