Crude oil jumped 3.9% to $68.82.
Gold fell 0.1% to $1,781.70.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury increased 5.8% to 1.42%.
Shares of Lake Forest-based Del Taco Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: TACO) surged 66% to $12.49 after news of the Mexican quick-serve restaurant chain’s sale to Jack in the Box Inc. (Nasdaq: JACK) of San Diego for $455.3 million. The deal equates to $12.51 per share.
Del Taco, with about 600 restaurants, had a recent market cap of $454.7 million.

Irvine-based Vizio Holding Corp. (NYSE: VZIO) jumped 10.4% to $19.80 for a market cap of $3.7 billion. The company, which is seeing rapid growth of its advertising division, last week added more channels to its WatchFree+ streaming service.
