E-Commerce Tech Co. Nogin Scores Justice Work

E-commerce tech company Nogin recently nabbed some hefty business that’s scoring it plaudits.

The Tustin-based company has helped create efficiencies for the online shop of tween retailer Justice, which is a nearly $250 million business that parent Bluestar Alliance LLC of New York thinks can eventually double in size.

Justice sells clothing and accessories to the pre-teen set. About three months after moving its e-commerce business to Nogin’s platform, Justice said it has seen its shipping and marketing costs trimmed, gross margin improvement and a decrease in order fulfillment costs.

Nogin, which previously operated as Branded Online Inc., helps companies up their e-commerce games with the help of technology to handle everything from the website’s operations and fulfillment to customer service and marketing performance. It works with more than 50 brands in various capacities, including Yeezy, True Religion, Charming Charlie, Bebe and Hurley.

The company earlier this year bought vintage-inspired e-tailer ModCloth in a deal that marked the first acquisition of a fashion company for the tech services provider.

Justice isn’t the first time Nogin’s worked with Bluestar Alliance, which bought Justice (at one time Limited Too) out of bankruptcy late last year for about $90 million. Nogin, for example, licenses the online rights of Hurley from Bluestar to completely handle all things e-commerce for the Costa Mesa surf brand.
