Irvine-based Acorns Advisers LLC, an investment app used by 8.2 million Americans, announced the launch of Acorns Job Finder that will be powered by the ZipRecruiter online marketplace.

ZipRecruiter, which targets small businesses, features over 9 million active job postings from about 2.3 million companies. About 40 million Americans have lost jobs or work hours because of the coronavirus, Acorns said, citing the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“Through Jobs, we’re helping Americans find work so they can achieve their financial goals,” Acorns CEO Noah Kerner said in a statement. “When you earn more, you save and invest more.”

The company, which has $3.2 billion in assets under management, is scheduled on Oct. 29 to host the first “Acorns Career Day,” a free, virtual job fair featuring special guests and experts.
