Monarch Beach Resort, one of many Orange County hotels shuttered in recent months as a result of COVID-19, will reopen Thursday.
The resort follows several other coastal properties to open in recent weeks as the county starts to see an uptick in leisure travel.
The 400-room Dana Point hotel has new safety measures that are certified by the California Hotel & Lodging Association, with employees required to wear masks and undergo daily temperature checks. The hotel is also offering complimentary masks to guests upon request.
The property is situated on 175 acres and is Orange County’s 20th largest hotel by room count. The property set a new hotel sale record when it traded at the end of last year for nearly $500 million to Ohana Real Estate Investors LLC.
