South Coast Delays Reopening
Monday, June 1, 2020
South Coast Plaza nixed plans to reopen today as a result of protests in and outside of the county over the weekend, which prompted an 8 p.m. curfew in Costa Mesa.
“We are saddened by the recent events in our country and care deeply for the safety and well-being of our entire community,” the mall said of the closure on its website.
OC’s largest shopping center was slated to reopen June 1 after being closed since March 17 due to the coronavirus.
The mall has not yet set a new reopening date.
