Fountain Valley-based Slapfish tapped Kenny Hom for chief operating officer, a new position at the fast casual seafood chain.
Hom joins the company after serving as Farmer Boys vice president of company and franchising. His resume also includes stints at Red Robin, Islands and California Pizza Kitchen.
Slapfish founder and CEO Andrew Gruel said Hom will help “in the continued growth and success of the brand.”
The appointment follows last year’s news that Houston-based investment firm Mac Haik Enterprises Ltd.’s restaurant division invested an undisclosed amount in the business and plans for at least 30 Slapfishes in Texas and Arkansas.
The company said it plans to add four locations this year to its 25 restaurants in the U.S.
