Mexican-inspired fast food chain Del Taco Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: TACO) hired Tim Hackbardt to be chief marketing officer.
The appointment marks Hackbardt’s return to the Lake Forest-based restaurant operator, OC’s No. 6 largest with $810 million in companywide 2018 sales.
Hackbardt previously headed marketing there from 1999 to 2003 and had also consulted for the business. He’s also worked at BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI), Pieology Pizzeria, Johnny Rockets and Rubio’s.
Del Taco had a recent market capitalization of $280 million.
