Foundation Building Materials Inc. in Tustin (NYSE: FBM) increased 5.4% to $15.20 and a $654 million market cap. Shares of the construction materials distributor are now up 7.6% since May 6 when it reported first quarter sales rose 11% to $515 million and net operating income hit $4.8 million, compared to a loss of $2.3 million year-over-year.
Five Point Holdings LLC (NYSE: FPH) in Aliso Viejo was up 4.2% to $9.17 and a $1.4 billion market cap. The builder yesterday reported break-even first quarter earnings, beating Zacks consensus estimate of a loss of 3 cents per share. It posted a 10 cent loss a year ago.
