The S&P 500 was up 0.2% in midday trading at 2,783.90.

The Dow Jones also rose 0.2% to 25,933.07.

The Nasdaq was flat at 7,485.41.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.2% at 2.64%.

The price of gold was up 0.2% at $1,348.

The price of oil increased 1.8% to $57.10 a barrel.


Newport Beach-based Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) fell 5% to $24.44 for a $694 million market cap. Shares in the aesthetics medicine company surged from $16 to $29 this month when it received FDA approval of its new drug to compete with Botox as a treatment for forehead wrinkles.


Foundation Building Materials Inc. (NYSE: FBM) was up 5% to $9.91 for a $425 million market cap. The Tustin-based company is one of the largest distributors of wallboard, suspended ceiling systems and metal framing in North America.
