Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) in Irvine rose 13% to $26.34 and a $738 million market cap. The Western-wear retailer said year-over-year net sales grew 16% to $162 million, net income 750% to $6.8 million. Same-store sales were 11.6% higher with full-year contribution from 14 additional stores. The chain has 232 stores in 31 states.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) was down 12% to $2.41 and a $491 million market cap. The natural-gas station operator said year-over-year revenue in its most recent quarter fell 13%.
Avid Bioservices Inc. (Nasdaq: CDMO) was up 5% to $5.59 and a $312 million market cap. Shares in the contract drugmaker have more than doubled since February.
Kush Bottles Inc. (OTC: KSHB) in Santa Ana was up 7% to $4.16 and a $309 million market cap. It formed a division, Kush Energy, to supply the cannabis industry with “high-quality solvents and hydrocarbons” used in cannabinoid extraction processes. The company is changing its name to KushCo Holdings Inc. on Sept. 1.
