U.S. indexes continued climbing on strong corporate profit reports at the start of the earnings season and are now up eight of the past 11 trading sessions.
The S&P 500 rose 1% in midday trading to 2,705.37. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.9% to 24,797.36 and the Nasdaq jumped 1.7% to 7,275.98.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond declined 0.1% to 2.83%.
The price of gold fell 0.2% to $1,348.
Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) jumped 4.8% to $36.69 and a $2.2 billion market cap. Shares of the Irvine-based supplier of software analytics have climbed 15% since April 9.
Netlist Inc. (Nasdaq: NLST) plunged 26% to 17 cents and a $15 million market cap. Netlist yesterday said a U.S. trade judge has terminated its complaint against SK Hynix related to memory products. Shares of the Irvine-based maker of modular memory subsystems have declined about 87% in the past year.
