CoreLogic’s Nallathambi Dies

CoreLogic President and Chief Executive Anand Nallathambi died after a brief illness, the company said.

Nallathambi took a medical leave of absence two weeks ago from the Irvine-based company, which provides real estate data and analytics for the real estate, mortgage finance, insurance and capital markets.

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Anand Nallathambi,” said CoreLogic Chairman Paul Folino. “Anand was an outstanding leader, and we will miss his many talents, energy and can-do spirit. Our thoughts are with Anand’s family and friends.”

Nallathambi had led CoreLogic since it spun-off from Santa Ana title insurer First American Corp. in 2010. CoreLogic has a market cap of about $3.3 billion.

Frank Martell, a five-year veteran of CoreLogic and its chief operating officer since 2014, had stepped into the interim president and chief executive role last week.

“Anand … was one of those extraordinary people that everyone loved and wanted to be around,” Martell said in a statement. “I will so miss him — his great warmth, grace, integrity and our close friendship.”

Nallathambi earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Loyola University in Madras, India, and an MBA from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. His volunteer work includes the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, Operation HOPE and California State University-Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. He’s survived by a wife and two children.
