Foothill Ranch-based Kaiser Aluminum Corp. was up 4% to $88.80 and a $1.6 billion market cap on high volume. The metals maker had traded shares by midday at twice its average volume.
Irvine-based Tilly’s Inc. was up 5.3% to $9.55 and a $272 million market cap on high volume. The youth fashion retailer had by midday traded shares at about 4 times its average volume.
Tustin-based Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. was up 12% to 42 cents and a $101 million market cap. The cancer drug developer said a non-profit cancer research group had award three grants to investigators for studies that will involve Peregrine’s flagship bavituximab.
