Indexes rebounded in midday trading after two trading sessions of declines following the U.K. vote to leave the European Union.
The S&P 500 was up 1% to 2,201.14. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.8% to 17,219.16. The NASDAQ was up 1.5% to 4,662.53.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.1% to 1.46%.
The price of gold was down 0.7% to $1,315.
Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 3.1% to $43.50 and a $12.2 billion market cap on above average volume. The company makes memory storage products.
Irvine-based CalAmp Corp. was up 2.3% to $13.98 and a $507 million market cap. The wireless communications provider is scheduled to report earnings today after markets close.
