Hyundai Motor America Inc. in Fountain Valley launched the Hyundai Recognized Collision Repair Center program, which will be administered by the Laguna Hills-based Assured Performance Network.
The program ensures collision repair centers—both independent and dealership-owned shops—have the training, tools, equipment and facilities needed to properly repair Hyundai vehicles.
“We want our customers to know we have their well-being in mind after they have been in a collision,” Frank Ferrara, executive vice president of customer satisfaction for Hyundai, said in a statement. “Having a network of recognized shops is critical to make sure our cars are repaired properly.”
Assured Performance Network verifies that each body shop meets the program’s requirements and passes an annual inspection. It also manages repair shops’ enrollment in the certification program, proof of compliance documentation and marketing.
The nonprofit organization has helped other automakers implement similar compliance programs, including Ford Motor Co., Chrysler Group LLC, Nissan North America Inc., Infiniti and General Motors Corp.’s Cadillac brand.
