Newly appointed Yogurtland Franchising Inc. Chief Executive Huntley Castner expects to continue the company’s rapid rate of growth in his first year leading the frozen yogurt chain.
The company announced Castner’s appointment to the top spot last week, with founder and former chief executive Phillip Chang taking the chairman’s role at the company he started in 2006 with a single location in Fullerton.
Castner joined the company in 2011 as chief operating officer, and previously worked at Panda Restaurant Group as vice president of strategy and finance. He said the Yogurtland expects to add 75 stores this year to its existing 263 locations.
Chang said he will continue to help set the “strategy, vision and culture” for the chain, but his new role at the company leaves him more time to focus on his Christian mission activities in South America and Southeast Asia.
