Santa Ana-based Goodwill of Orange County celebrated the opening of its first boutique store in Tustin on Friday morning.
OC Goodwill Boutique's opening drew more than 200 shoppers, city officials and press.
The store carries clothing, furniture and home goods with a focus on attracting brand-conscious buyers. Store displays include a dress made from records, done in conjunction with students at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and a chair made from donated books.
Goodwill of Orange County hopes to open additional boutique stores in the future, including one aimed at attracting college students, according to a spokesperson. A timeline on additional store openings has not yet been set.
The store takes up about 8,800 square feet of space in the Larwin Square Shopping Center and counts 20 workers.
