Foothill Ranch-based juniors and contemporary retailer Wet Seal Inc. said Thursday it added two board members, including former Chief Executive and Vice Chair Kathy Bronstein.

Bronstein’s tenure as boss of the chain ran from 1989 to 2003. She is credited with growing Wet Seal from about $150 million in revenue and 100 stores to more than $600 million in revenue and more than 600 stores.

Bronstein started KB Bronstein Consulting in Newport Coast after leaving Wet Seal, and has worked with other retail and apparel companies, including San Diego-based Charlotte Russe Inc. and Guess Inc. of Los Angeles.

Wet Seal also brought on former Charlotte Russe Chief Executive John Goodman as an independent director.

Goodman headed up Charlotte Russe between 2008 and 2009 and was most recently vice president of apparel and home at Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Sears Holdings Corp.
