Irvine-based automobile information provider Kelley Blue Book Company Inc. has named Jared Rowe president.

Rowe replaces Paul Johnson, whose resignation from the company announced Tuesday.

Rowe joins Kelley Blue Book from the company’s parent Inc. in Atlanta, where he was vice president of product management.

Cox Enterprises Inc., also headquartered in Atlanta, is a majority owner of

Johnson was with Kelley Blue Book for more than 13 years and led the company after it was purchased by in October 2010. Johnson also credited with helping Kelley Blue Book during its transition from a mostly print-based business to a digital format.

Johnson is now serving as an advisor to the company.
